You can talk a lot or nothing about your work. First, you explain what may seem incomprehensible to others or far-fetched in its meaning. Second, when it is too clear or simply cannot be explained in words. I have had more mixed feelings about the poetry of Jonas Strielkūnas (1939-2010). It seemed to me that it was known only as part of general poetic knowledge. But when I started reading more attentively and more, I experienced question marks and was surprised by the depth of his poetry, especially knowing the time and circumstances of the appearance of that poetry. That is how I found the key to the creation of several romances for voice and piano. And here it is – “Three Romances Waiting for…”. The first – “…yesterday”, the second – “…today” and the third – …tomorrow”. All from the poetry of Jonas Strielkūnas.
