2005 metais Kaune buvo įkurtas miesto simfoninis orkestras. Tuomet jo vadovas Algimantas Treikauskas pasiūlė sukurti uvertiūrą orkestro gimimui. Taip atsirado ir pirmajame koncerte suskambo pjesė „Orkestro gimimas“. O 2025 metais ruošiantis vasario 8 dieną minėti orkestro 20-metį, Algimantas vėl paskambino ir sako: „ – Gal kokia mintis gims tai progai?“
Ir štai antroji uvertiūrą „Orkestro gimimas. Po 20 metų…“, kurioje rasis atgarsiai ir iš tos, anuomet gimusios kompozicijos. Tiesa, dabar tai visai nauja, kitokio „sunkumo“ ir kitaip skambanti muzika. Pagaliau, ir aš kitoks. Turi savyje ji ir smagumo. O kaip gi kitaip? Juk muzikantų gyvenimas kolektyve yra nuolatinis nuotykis ir neišvengiamas ansamblis, be kurio neįmanoma jokia skambėjimo harmonija, joks darna, jokia visumos kokybė.
In 2005, the city symphony orchestra was founded in Kaunas. At that time, its leader Algimantas Treikauskas proposed creating an overture for the birth of the orchestra. This is how the piece “Birth of the Orchestra” came about and was played at the first concert. And in 2025, when preparing to celebrate the orchestra’s 20th anniversary on February 8, Algimantas called again and said: “ – Maybe some idea will be born for this occasion?”
And here is the second overture “Birth of the Orchestra. After 20 years…”, which will also echo the composition that was born then. True, now it is completely new, with a different “difficulty” and a different sounding music. After all, I am different too. It also has some fun in it. And how could it be otherwise? After all, the life of musicians in a collective is a constant adventure and an inevitable ensemble, without which no harmony of sound, no coherence, no quality of the whole is possible.
