Giedrius Kuprevičius speaks in the introduction: „Good evening. Here we meet again and today I want to present to you „The Scale of Homes” from this house. I don’t know how to present it, because there are such events in the world that even using musical logic it is very difficult to understand and explain them. Even using dodecaphony, which arranges the entire musical logic differently and gives it more freedom. So, not realizing what is happening around me, I focus on my craft, on my music. I will present to you 14 sounds arranged in a downward-upward sequence (playing the scale). Each sound will be accompanied by a short improvisation born here. They will also sound several motifs from my works, which maybe someone will recognize. But most importantly – while the music is playing, I invite all listeners to move into their own world, create their own plots, their own images. Go into yourself, be yourself, enjoy the opportunity provided by music. „No one can encroach on our inner world, the richer it is, the better the world could be. So, let’s begin.”
